ATTN. RICHARD PETTY GUYS!! post-1971 426 WEDGE (after Hemi was removed from NASCAR)

Those were the days, all the trim/chrome/door handles, treaded tires. Looks like Lee is asking Richard to pick up a gallon of milk before next pit stop.

ATTN. RICHARD PETTY GUYS!! post-1971 426 WEDGE (after Hemi was removed from NASCAR)

I find the PETTY ENT stampings odd, and a bit too perfect. Why would they need to mark their own heads?

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

As long as you’re going with the fake fireplace, you might as well go with fake wood. :poke:

67 Charger - Tailights not working

The turn signal lights work, the brakes lights works but the taillights won't work with my light switch on at night. I have changed the headlight switch 3 times, with new switches. I am hearing the answer " IT'S THE GROUND WIRE". But how is it that my turn signals work and brake lights work but...

What are your Mopar goals for 2025?

I am having the engine freshen up currently at the shop, paint is being corrected and engine compartment repaint, and having the windows tinted blue. Then have some fun this summer.

    Alternator gauge bypass?

Decided to check the bulkhead. Saw a wire I was dubious about and decided to remove the tape.... this is what I found. Tape was over the first one and they round around the next one, and so on.... (The one I wanted to check was the last one, obviously)

383 Rebuild - New Piston Suggestions

And for an iron head 383, the 915 head and Speed Pro 2315 piston is a great match, with a reasonable street cam.

383, A-body, 4 speed car. Nice. Not really sure how you don’t drop the hammer on that every time you get a chance.

Rebuilding ThermoQuads: Who has some helpful tips and advice?

TQs are quite easy to work on. I was a line mechanic back when they were used by Chrysler and had schooling on them. The most important thing with any rebuild is to follow the sequence that comes with the kit instructions for adjustments. Be careful of the float bowl, it's fragile and soak it in...

Rebuilding ThermoQuads: Who has some helpful tips and advice?

The Thermoquads are not intuitive to understand by just taking them apart. You would be behooved to start with studying a book despite how smart a mechanic you think you are. I own well over 100 Thermoquads and have raced them competitively in NHRA for well over 50 years. I still refer to...
