It’s not complicated. They are both designed to do the same thing - suck oil without drawing in air. Just different designs. The factory unit can touch the pan, obviously the other cannot.

If they've got a bowl in stock, and a carb place, they probably know what gaskets the bowl needs. CALL THEM ON A PHONE, don't order on line.

Yeah my business used to donate to the local food bank extensively, both in time and material contributions. Then I found out the person in charge was pulling in $10k a month in wages. A bit disheartening when you think you are helping the needy.

I bet in this case it is more of a suspected re-body not theft but who knows?

But as you probably know body shops use used parts to repair cars every single day sometimes even clipping and re-bodying them.

With that article leading off with words like "suggesting", "maybe", and "estimating", I don't see any hard facts. I can imagine that the numbers from the food banks might exaggerate some claims over Statistics Canada to gain more donations.
