Good info above. I'll add my 2 cents JB weld the plastic wells, some sand paper to rough the plastic and smear it around the seem after, but keep it tight it has to fit in the bottom plate. Small block truck cores usually have "good" metering rods, you can check the numbers against online info...

Thank you Dadsbee, I didn't know that, I always thought you needed to pull that headliner through the window opening to get it tight and on the teeth to hold it. Thanks

I have maybe 5 or 6 of these. One was rebuilt but not ran immediately. It pukes fuel.

Certainly a lot easier to put a headliner in with the glass out everywhere, but it can also be done with all the glass in!

Is a 742 not a crush tube? (or is that the 489). Mark the nut postion and put it back exactly where it was.... or you're pulling it all apart..
