Just an idea. You could put in a torque strap that is just barely loose. That way the rubber won't stretch enough to break. If you put in solid mounts and drive it on the street it will rattle your teeth
I raced in the 70's and my best 1/4 mile time was 10.44 with 160 mph. I am unsure about the mph but I always had a high mph. That was with a '68 Road Runner with a 383 bored .60 over, reworked ported and polished heads, milled to far with 13 to 1 compression, tarantula manifold, Holley...
That is why we moved to Texas but we are going to have 19 degree weather Tuesday. It is only for a week so I guess that is fine. Then it's back to the 60's.
