440 question: might be a dumb question

I would not use a crank like that without cleaning it up. And I would be leary of the short block assembled by a builder that would not clean up that situation. Mike

    Ford's "better idea" in Dodge?

Interesting, no such animal in a Ford. That said, I'm on battery #3 in 7.5 years. First two paid for by Ford (I guess I actually paid for the first one), I put another in last Summer with a 5 year FULL replacement warranty.

    70 Hemi Superbird Restoration..................errr.....scratch that........

More angle forward would definitely help with the look. It’s 3 separate pieces that bolt to the nose and two that bolt to the fenders. I’m gonna finish this and see how I like it as I can always make another. One of the primary goals for this car was the standing mile which needs all the air out...

Cast iron bracket for AC compressor on a 383 in 1968

Was that cast iron bracket the goes across the top of the intake painted with the engine or did it go black? Since it’s held on with two of the intake bolts I was curious. Still trying to hunt that particular bracket up by the way. Thought I had one but it’s for a 440. Too wide.

1966 charger door lock rod clip

Here are some pics. The first two of just the clip were pulled from a 66 or 67 Charger. Not sure of the year because i only have the doors. The other two pics are from inside the door of my 67 Coronet parts car. The clips are a little bit different but i'm assuming they're functionally the same...
