I got pretty decent with welding some years back including MIG and TIG but just don't do much anymore so every time I light up, it's like I have to 'relearn' it all again real quick. Seems like stick is the easiest to relearn since that's what I did most lol.

I have had multiple sets of TTis', all went in fine no interference with the steering box or suspension parts. But I would recommend going the ceramic coating. I know there are cheaper headers available but since TTi is local in Corona, CA I went to their factory, saw their quality...

FWIW, I also wanted to replace the original sway bar mounts that were lost during a previous restoration. Seems no one is reproducing them and I didn't find anyone willing to sell just the brackets. I ended up buying a complete sway bar with brackets from a member here and used those brackets...
