Thanks for the reply and your right (I have found) that it did change in mid year...some went from the compressor to the driver's side fender than around the front of the radiator support over to the condenser. Have since had a Vintage A/C system installed. Works so much better.
Thanks for all the above replies. The info on the forged vs cast crank sounds what seems to be the issue but when the mechanic looks it all over hopefully the problem will be found.
The vibration happens when the car is in "park", very small when idling and gets worse when revved up but can...
Have a vibration in the 383 in my 70 Roadrunner. (383 auto). Not the original motor but dated in Nov 0f 69. Vibration can be felt revving the engine some when in park. Has always been there but been dealing with other vibration issues but getting down to the nitty gritty... So far have...
Have a 70 Roadrunner, 383, standard torqueflite trans....need to replace the torque converter....just a "cruiser" no racing. Do not drive the car very hard. Know very little about them, going to have to have it done at a shop. What is the type that I need to buy/order (brand, stall speed...

All plug wires and coil wire are new as of late last summer. Choke is operating correctly. As for the fuel filter why would it be hard to start but will run fine after it warms up? Wouldn't the fuel filter be "clogged" all the time and keep it from running once it does start? Dist & rotor...
Have 70 Roadrunner (383/auto). Have owned it for going on 8 years now. Has always started with out any problems. Have always used ethanol free aviation gas since I have owned it. Started this past winter (live in Michigan). I do have it for sale and was expecting someone to come over and...
If you have not changed over to LED shop lights yet let me tell you it is well worth the price & hassle of looking into converting. My garage & shop lights were near 30 years old and what a difference. I went with the Sunco brand 48" hanging shop lights (two bulbs per fixture) purchased them...
What radiator size are you using? Just had a Vintage Air System installed in my 70 RR (Factory A/C car) and does not have the correct radiator or a clutch fan and running hot in hot weather ion stop and go traffic. It has a 26" radiator now but does not have the mounting bracket for a shroud...
I just had a Vintage Air System installed in my 70 RR (factory A/C car). Was not cheap but works great. You should probably look at what upgrade you will have to do with the cooling system (if any). I did not have the correct type of radiator in mine and need to upgrade to the right one...
Need to know the right cooling setup for my 70 Roadrunner; 383 Auto with factory A/C.
I am pretty sure it needs a 26" radiator but should it be a 3 or 4 core with a shroud?
Cooling fan? 7 blade clutch fan I assume?
Water Pump? Which one is for a A/C car? I know there are high volume pumps...
Update: Watched last night's Graveyard Car's (S-10 - EP 20). Part was they started dismantling a completely original untouched 1970 Charger R/T with power windows, cruise control & factory A/C. Saw that the A/C discharge line out of the compressor ran over to the driver's side upper fender...
Then why does the shop manual show a reservoir in the vacuum system? The valve you refer to may be the only part that uses the vacuum that is mounted in the engine bay but a reservoir does not use the vacuum it stores it and there seems to be some question if a 70 Plymouth Roadrunner (383...
Trying to figure out everything thats involved in getting the A/C & Heater systems back working on my 70 Plymouth Roadrunner 383 A/C car. Have not been able to find out exactly where the vacuum system reservoir is supposed to mount.
Do not have the Air Grabber option. In the shop manual page...
Wondering if anyone knows what the part number is for the A/C discharge line that runs from the Compressor, over to the driver's side inner fender, along the top of the inner fender to the front of the upper radiator support, turns along the upper front of the support and over to the...
I am assuming the photo of the "gold" car is a 70 Plymouth?
looks like mine (without the A/C lines in place......) but I am not an "expert".....have never seen another 70 Plymouth B Body BIg Block car with factory A/C. Added a photo of it.
