Can I get some comments about using a progressive linkage V/S a straight linkage set up using these carbs on a stock Chrysler 413 with a slight cam? What's better or worse? Good or bad? Also, who sells the progressive linkage?
Thanks! :usflag:
Greetings,
Merry Christmas and a VERY happy new year to everyone!
After many excellent comments & suggestions on carb/cfm choice for my 413, I am going to go with the Edelbrock CH-28 2X4 intake w/#1405 carbs (600 cfm) and the #7094 linkage kit. The 727 is a 1971 year with the factory kick...
Greetings,
QUESTION: Will a 413 with 1971 HP exhaust manifolds fit into a 1962 Polara 500 with out any clearance issues with the passenger shock mount and the drivers steering gear box? I searched for size dimensions (NADA) so I figured to ask you gurus out there. I know the RB is wider than...
Mostly STREET with that "oddball" desire to have the inline 4BBL'S as the period correct set up, back in the day. As a fellow mentioned above, a single 750 cfm with an intake would probably run better AND cheaper. I REALLY wanted the "eye candy" A&A or INDY cross ram (non max wedge) intake &...
I agree on the $$$$ factor. I am leaning towards the inline 2X4 intake with the repo "football" air cleaners from Vans Auto for the "period correct" engine set up.
What kind of throttle linkage are you using and what else for the TRANS kick down? If you have any part numbers handy, I would greatly appreciate it. !
Greetings,
I'm researching the thought of freshening up a 1963 Chrysler 413 with a mild cam (474/280 Hyd Flat Tappet 234/234 Duration) with stock pistons and the ONLY low rise dual quad intake to fit under the hood is a Edelbrock CH-28 Intake 5440 which recommends a set of Edelbrock 1405 carbs...
Greetings.... I have a completely stock 1963 Chrysler 413 and I would like to put a decent cam/lifter set into it without losing vacuum for my power brakes and heater controls/etc. Lately, the rumors are today's "good" new cams have terrible quality control and they now kinda s u c k. Who is...
When replacing the package tray I saw my 62 was fortunate to have (3) 6x9 oval holes stamped into the rear deck when I ripped out the old cracked pkg. tray and was ready to replace it. I assume the center hole was for a rear defroster blower and don't know "why" there were "left & right" holes...
Greetings,
some time ago, a guy posted in this forum that he had black fratzog inserts available for sale. ( I'm assuming he made them from a printer) Does anyone remember who he is/was? Or if you see this, please contact me. I need some.
Thanks in advance!
