I have the same problem with my 74 not really bad but not a smooth as I would like. I have tried a different drive shaft new bushing, tires, wheels, alignment too. next up drive shaft angle, I am going to use some wedge shims to see if it helps, I am about 2 degrees down right now but under load...
i went with aluminum ones when i did my car which i drive a lot and hard and it rides great! smooth and no slop at all i thought about going with poly but i am happy with solid spacers it may be an option for you.

some of the ugly! started cutting the bad off and fitting the new. some repair work to do around the cowl but other than that full steam ahead. picked up some epoxy primer to play with too. fun for all! fresh pics this week
well here are a couple more pics, the dash is out and crusty! the engine is a little crusty too! ha! it is in pretty good shape though almost no taper and just a bit of out of round. those stock low comp pistons have to go though.

it looks really tough but it is not too bad the only floor that is shot is the drivers floor mostly from a really bad repair! the cowl on the drivers...
