    Battery Problem?

    The battery in my ML350 is only a couple of months old. This morning it was completely dead. When I hook up my 6amp charger the needle spikes to full charge for a few seconds then drops to zero. Every few seconds it repeats. Bad battery?

    I have 1984 Dodge D100 pick-up I converted it from a slant six to a 440 years ago. Suddenly it seems the amp gauge is not working. It shows neither charge or discharge. If I turn on the headlights with the engine not running the gauge stays in the middle/neutral position. Any suggestions...
