I'm going to disagree. If your engine is put together with correct parts, proper quench and runs well with a carb, it will run well with EFI without needing it to control timing.

Make sure whatever you put it in its acid free or the acid in the plastic can eat away the ink. I had it happen to my last game ticket at tiger stadium. The protective sleeves they handed out were not acid free and you can barely see the printed ink on the ticket now. Sucks... Maybe...
