Are the low beam lamps on a 62’ Plymouth two filaments? Trouble shooting a loss of low beam lights on my Fury and wondering if it’s the bulbs themselves.. I have no lights in low beam but all 4 light up in high beam.
Question, is it possible to remove the stock oil pan on a 361 without removing the steering cross bar? It doesn’t look like the pan can move enough in either direction to shimmy it out. Assuming the bar has to be removed can it just be dropped from the pitman arms without removing the end...
My old 62 is up for sale. Came across it this morning. I sold it 9 years ago to a fellow up in CT. Looks exactly the same as it did the day it left. What a beast that thing was...
I see some Mopar brand oil filters being sold online for the early cars. Anyone know which filter number would be correct for a 62’ 361 B motor? My TM shows - of all things, a Perolator PER-1…
Any recommendations for lubing up the typewriter buttons while they are installed? Can you just squirt some Wd40.. on the mechanism - same for the heater vent buttons. Mine seem kind of sticky and sluggish.
Does anyone make, or carry OEM taillight seals for the 62 Plymouth B body? These are the rubber seals between the lights and the body. I’ve found the lense/light gaskets but not the rubber seals.
I’ve been away from Mopars for awhile ( diverted to AMC) but back into now with a 62 Fury. What are some good sources for parts for the early B bodies? Dante’s and NPD I remember, what else? Specifically looking for some of the turquoise engine paint right now and an antenna.
Sold my last 62 Plymouth about 9-10 years ago but just picked this one up. Quite a bit more “civil and refined” than my first one. This car is built about as OEM as can be. As I’ve mentioned in another thread it has a 63 dash (I guess) and a more modern master cylinder /reservoir but that’s all...
What are you 62-65' guys that have an RB motor with max wedge head ports and manual steering and brakes running for headers? Can you post pictures?
I have been thinking about replacing my headers and looking for some options. I would really like SS headers with at least a 2" tube and 3.5" or 4"...
Early B Body Trunk Upholstery
I am getting ready to make some side panels and carpet and vinyl the trunk in my 62 Savoy and looking for ideas. My car is tubbed so I have wheel tubs to deal with and I also have a fuel cell and battery box in the trunk. My current thinking is to run carpet down...
Has anyone purchased the carpeted floor mats from Dante's Mopar? Especially for a 62-65 B body. Just wondering how well they fit and how the quality is. They get well over $100 for a set so I'm hoping they are very high quality?
My son took this today while we were out playing. You can't hear it (needs volume) but there was a 1-2 shift in there. Had to hold to about half throttle due to the road width pucker factor. One of these days I'll get a good shot of it doing a full 3 gear burn for a 1000 feet or so :) I know -...
I am in need of replacing the oil pan on my 1962 Plymouth that runs a modified 440 (stock stroke). I developed a "little hole" in it yesterday....:angryfire:
The pan that has been on it is one of the Milodon 9" deep rear sump pans that holds 10 gts of oil with the dual line pickup and has the...
Anyone have a part number for the lower control arm rubber bump stop - or can you give a proper height for it? I need to install a set and can not find the right ones and may need to modify a larger set to fit.
Anyone have suggestions for putting the OEM springs back on the hinges of a 62' B body??? Preferably without destroying the paint on the hinges :)
I had my hinges painted sometime back and was just getting ready to put the springs on them to remount my OEM steel hood and woah!!! Those are some...
Just noticed something that may have been like this for a long time and I didn't notice it or just started. On my 62 Plymouth, when I pull the headlight switch out one notch the parking lights come on fine. When I pull it all the way out the headlights come on fine - but the parking lights are...
