And So It Begins - Tremec TKX Conversion Into A 64 Polara

It’s something I’ve considered. I’ve sent pics and additional requested info. to SST and they are looking to make some type of adaptor for me. I do find it odd however, that I’m the first person with an early b body to enquire about this issue. Surely I’m not the first person to order their kit...

Clutch pedal to slave connection / rod -Early B Body

Thanks for these pics - helps a lot. Couple of questions - what is pedal pressure and travel like? I was wondering if it would be possible to get a side shot of the aluminum bracket / spacer between the slave and firewall. Also, where was that adapter / slave spacer sourced? Big thanks, Charlie

And So It Begins - Tremec TKX Conversion Into A 64 Polara

Wade at SST suggested that I move the pedal connection lower on the pedal shaft. I was wondering if anyone else with an early B Body has done this. If so, a couple of pics would be helpful.

Clutch pedal to slave connection / rod -Early B Body

Can someone with an early B Body and who has converted to a firewall located hydraulic clutch slave post a pic of the rod connection from the slave to the OEM clutch pedal. I'm interested where this connection is made on the clutch pedal assembly and where it goes through the firewall. Thanks...

And So It Begins - Tremec TKX Conversion Into A 64 Polara

The rod length is an easy fix - it's the angle at which the two rods intersect that's an issue - there should be no angle at all.

And So It Begins - Tremec TKX Conversion Into A 64 Polara

I agree. It's been on my bucket list for a while. The last time I owned a stick car was a 73 Vega - remember those gems? I do remember though that shifting gears was a hoot.

And So It Begins - Tremec TKX Conversion Into A 64 Polara

Funny you you mention my wife - because I live in Canada and all the BS associated with importing items from the USA, I had the invoice split into two separate invoices - one in my name and the other in my wife's name - saved me several hundreds of dollars in Canadian tax. It sucks to be a...

And So It Begins - Tremec TKX Conversion Into A 64 Polara

I've been planning this conversion for 2 years now. I purchased the complete kit from SST Transmissions. For those who are interested, the complete kit was $5700 USD shipped. I've asked for a lot of advice and guidance on this forum which has helped me a lot, and it's probably not the last of it...

64 Dodge 4 Speed Pedals - Install Issues

I scratched my head on this issue, and came up with this simple fix. I cut the down curved edge off and flipped the edge facing up and welded it - looks almost factory now.

64 Dodge 4 Speed Pedals - Install Issues

Hi Dan, I do go your way from time to time and if I can't fix up what I have, I'll let you know. Thanks.

64 Dodge 4 Speed Pedals - Install Issues

I'm thinking you are correct - I guess it's time to modify what I have.

64 Dodge 4 Speed Pedals - Install Issues

I have a 4 speed pedal assembly from a 65 (supposedly) B Body ready to install into my 64 Polara. The connecting pedals bracket seems upside down (bent down and not up) and interferes with the steering column support bracket. Is the column support bracket from an automatic different from a...

    Cone Style LSD

Update - Just re-assembled the unit on the bench and the breakaway torque was 125 lbs and about 115-120 lbs rotating force. I think I'm good to go. I now have another to take apart and do the process over. Thanks again to all who responded.

    Cone Style LSD

All looks good. Only one hole in one half of the casing. So I'm assuming that the unit I have does not need rebuilding yet. Thanks to all who responded - I've learned something here.

Ok, this is what I have - hoping these are the pics needed which you are referring to.

    Cone Style LSD

The main shaft looks good. The little pin that goes through it (anti rotation pin?) slides smoothly and looks ok.
