I'm not so concerned with how fast the car will go. I have not raced in years so I just want to have some fun. It's a stroker but not really a race motor. I won't twist it much over 6000, if any. Don't know what the car will weigh (it's disassembled) maybe someone can tell me. It's 65 Coronet...
I used my Victor set (blue wrench) 40/8 with a #4. Once I got into position, I dropped it out in less than 5 seconds. Good luck getting the new back in - let me know how it goes
It's a 572 but nothing radical. The car is a long way from the track. Just checked in with the paint guy and work is not progressing according to plan. Its very disapointing, theres a ton of work before the car is running. Thanks for your info
I'm in the early stages of building a BB 65 Coronet race car. I see we have some experienced racers here. Trying to plan ahead and would like to know what you guys are running. (1/4 mile)
What gear and tire height do you run? Also, RPM and speed through the traps?
