Studebaker never really went away, they just shut down their car manufacturing end of the business. They existed decades before building their first car, and had a petroleum side of the business, of which STP was part of. If you've ever seen an ONAN generator, that's from Studebaker. They...

The adjusters are common, they fit B & C bodies
The rollers look like hardtop ones but they are different, the part number is 66-70 b body vert only I was helping a guy with a 70 Roadrunner vert that had hardtop rollers & the glass wouldn't line up..
Ok thanks for those photos thats great. Much appreciated.
The adjustment hardware looks exactly the same as I see on the rear quarter window track that I already have here? The rear track has one, and from your photos this front track has two. So if I find a track I need to make sure I have...
Used exchangeable approx 25% full Argon/CO2, 200CF tank I assume this is only for somebody in Fla, I'm not excited about lugging it anywhere east of the Mississippi. I have half a dozen, but I only want to sell currently one or two. My local welding suppliers exchange these for refilled tanks of...

See, stuff like THIS sways me back to the old school stuff.
I have a Lunati solid FT in the car now, the cam has maybe 5 years on it and it is great. I use EDM lifters from Howards.
If every cam in this engine had failed, I'd switch to another block!
One thing that I do wonder....
I thought that...
You do NOT want a single spring without an inner spring or damper [ flat wound ]. With either type, the inner section actually makes contact with the outer spring. This is purposely designed to create a small amount of friction to reduce/eliminate spring surge.
My '70 GTX had them. One was a clip and the other was a little padlock. The previous owner had it that way due to a rumor that a local guy was looking to steal the intake and carbs off the car if he got the chance.
On Carter's, at least later ones, the carb number you're needing for kits/info etc is stamped on the throttle plate. Older ones used a tag held down by one of the screws on the lid. Carter's version of the LIST number for Holley's.
Find my thread on doing a quiet exhaust. I wrapped it up last fall with a post detailing how to get a 440 to be as quiet as a new car and not lose power. With headers you won’t get that quiet, but it will have that cool tinging sound at the engine. My goal was met, I despise drone and I drive...
