I am looking at a 1964 claimed 50th anniversary Polara 500 with a 426 street wedge, auto. Any idea about how many of these would have been made?
I see lots of posts about 1964 426 street wedge with 4 speed, but nothing about this one. Owner has a Chyrsler Registry letter indicating (screen...
67 R/T I recently bought had air shocks for some reason. Take out all the air, stance looks fine. Where would be the best place to get
some stock-type rear HD shocks?
So I got the factory tach on my 67 R/T to work, was a couple of loose/cut wires. But it runs off calibration, seems like about 30-35% to high. Not just a constant offset. 700 rpm idle measured by a timing light was ~1000 on the console tach. What I perceived as 3000rpm read about 4000, and...
OK. Got the Edel AFB hooked up. 10deg initial, 50deg total, 36deg max mechanical means the vaccum is adding about 14deg max. Pretty run of the mill. Completely by the seat of the pants, the ported vacuum seemed snappier off the line, with the manifold vacuum a bit more sluggish, which is...
Clearly here the Edel 1411 install manual says to use MVA for "non-emissions controlled engines", i.e. the 440HP in my 67 R/T. Interesting this is opposite to what was said in the above YouTube video.......but then again the pic has to tell you that the PCV port is "not for fuel".... so...
So I think have read or watched 20+ articles on the ported vs. manifold distribution advance topic. In conclusion for a 67 R/T 440 4sp with a very mild
hop-up to the engine (aluminum intake, 1-up cam, Edel Performer, stock heads 10:1, stock manifolds, etc.)
1 - earlier AFBs including the...
Want to return my recently purchased 67 R/T to factory style wheels and poverty caps. Can't find any aftermarket 14" steelies. Can find 15" everywhere.
Any 14" and the 67 poverty caps available anywhere? Or so I have to peruse ebay all the time?
Was VERY faint, but magnifier I thinks showed 76750-2 and 3325. Prob means 750 double pumper, but for the life of me I can't find these numbers for a Holley carb on the internet.
So now that all you smart folks have got me on the right track, I will be getting rid of my Holley. The numbers on the air horn were VERY faint and seemed slightly double stamped, but under a magnifier was 76750-2 and 3325. Probably means it is a 750 double pumper, but I can't find this model...
So for the ones following my threads about the no snorkle air cleaner.......went to replace the Holley with a Edel 1411 AFB Performer. Found this:
- the really nice Mopar aftermarket intake PN 5153235 is 2" higher than stock
- that necessitated a recessed air cleaner base so as not to hit the...
