I think it will be fine, but I would definitely test for rear wheel lock up before serious driving. If there is an issue it can be corrected with either a smaller wheel cylinder or an adjustable proportioning valve.
I believe that the fixed window glass will work with the '71 mechanisms that has a separate frame that attached to the regulators. In '72 the regulators attach to the glass itself similar to the door glass
