...of the same part. Pictures were taken from inside the car looking up, out the back window.
This brace is also part of the upper rear windowchannel as well.
Last pic is of one side of the two wheel well to dutchman panel braces that i need. These also hold the trunk lid hinges as well. As you...
thanks for your information. I am about to install the front glass into the door with the vent wing assembly already installed. I watched a you-tube video where the guy dropped the window in from the top by separating the very top of the Vent wing assembly.
I also wondered about whether to...
Just finished doing mine they were super tight i used the original plastic slides all but one as it was beyond usage .I cleaned the channel well but still tight the trick was to flood the channel with graphite powder and i mean flood it even after i got them in. Working the window up and down...
I am looking for the very back roof brace that is part of the upper rear windowchannel and it holds the headliner sharks teeth.
AMD makes all of the roof braces, except the very rear, which rusts out.
Also need the braces that go from the rear inner wheel well up to the Dutchman panel. It is...
Be careful on the door glass, don't cut the plastic window liner strip on the glass inside the wing frame channel.
If the rear seat upholstery has any age be careful not to punch through the top of the rear seat, and ripping the seat bottom kneeling on it. Maybe just remove the rear seat for...
Will you let us know how they fit? The note on the DMT website has me a little concerned (and there are no reviews), but I have installed these when they were made by a different manufacturer and I know they are fragile. I need to buy 2 sets still.

Hey guys, I’ve lurked for a long time waiting for my 68 charger to come home, and the time has finally come. I’m looking for a couple window parts that I can’t seem to find, wondering if you guys can help me out with where to find them and their names?

The biggest problem is that sellers typically show the 'good' in any vehicle....they don't get too involved in the nasty areas.
I'll bet there are more surprises once you get eyeballs on that car.
After way too much work of trying to get my door windows in, I am stuck. I have ideas to solve but they are not great.
The problem: the new mylar inserts appear to jam in the wing channel or are very tight. Thus the windows jam up or are very tight.
What Ive done: I wire brushed the channel...
...in their original position. This will help lining the clips in their factory square cutouts. Then carefully drill holes thru the the windowchannel. I will do plenty of testing of drill hole sizing on scrap sheet metal before committing to drilling on the car. As Mike said, the factory...
My first car was a 1969 318 Charger that I bought in November 1975. The car has about 65,000 miles & rust was coming through on the tops, sides and bottom of the fenders, bottoms of the doors, all around the rear wheelwells & water was getting into the trunk from the rear windowchannel.
shimming up and down. Also my right side sits deeper in the channel. So I need to shim up. I am now 100% sure But it looks like I will need more rope on that side to build up the window as a shim would prevent the proper sealing compression of the window.
Guys let me know if you need any of these windowchannel clips. I made some and they work with the old pins or .125 steel rod. I’ll just send them to you if you PM me your address/info.
I built the first one and worked great...
Duplicated it and got both pieces of trim installed...
Also installed the front half of the roof rail trim and the stainless channel for the window seal...
Then the vent window assembly and door glass followed by the rear 1/4 glass...
Car back home after extensive work including removing front and rear glass for paint.
Cleaning back window I see water dripping in trunk from under package tray area. Thinking it’s the glass I order butyl tape and 3M urethane in case the glass needs to come out.
I remove bottom trim and find...
Has anyone done weatherstripping on a 71-79 4dr before? I’m 99% sure nothing is reproduced, but I’m looking for pointers on either something universal someone has used, or another Mopar body seal that is reproduced that can be used.
1. Door to body seals: this seems pretty easy to just use a...
Door glass rear edge channel guides ready to go into doors.
Taped the paint.
Regulator ready to go into place loosely.
Just set in place until door glass assembly goes in.
Working up the nerve to work this into place.
Turn to get the vent frame lower fork in first, then the front mounting...
