    The 440 in my '84 pickup needs to be freshened up. Can anyone tell me which RB heads have hardened exhaust seats?

    Smoke at Start up - Valve Seals?

    The 440 in my pickup has started smoking after startup. It quits smoking after a couple of minutes. Blue oil smoke. Hard throttle after warm up, no smoke. If it's driven frequently, no smoke. If it sits for a few days, smoke. Is there something I should check other than valve stem seals?

    Spark Plugs

    Does anyone have any idea what causes a spark plug to look like this? It's from the 440 in my truck. Several others look like this one. Generally the porcelain is very white. However it has a black streak on one side.
