Thanks for your reply. This gas tank is giving me real grief. Its been in and out twice now. also having problems with sending unit not sealing well. Its a new tank, sending unit, straps and hoses. Tired of smelling gas.

I recently replaced my gas tank and when i removed my filler tube i forgot to see how far in it was originally installed. There is a raised ring around the tube and i need to know if it should be outside or inside the grommet. Thanks.
