Your question could be answered with some detail if you provided the vin of your bird. These casr were built over a few months. Early versus late would have different date codes. In general, manifolds should be dated in the 8/69 to 11/69 range. With 11/69 being late for some cars.

Clean and verify. Shift selector seal is another common leak spot. Any leak can be repaired but ATF is really thin and travels well so the most important part is verifying where it is leaking.

I think it should be considered wreckless child endangerment to let a 7 YEAR OLD drag race. She should be driving bumper cars at that age not a dragster. I feel for the girl that was taken away as a result of her narcissistic parents poor decision. This should never have happened. JMO

Try a left hand bit when drilling it out. Might get lucky and unscrew it.

According to my photo many years ago, I removed the hood on the '72 Satellite the last time I pulled the 318 motor. This next time I would like to make an attempt to leave the hood in place. Is this idea feasible? Who has tried it before? Thank you.
