Hello,
I am slowly coming around to making the switch to a roller cam for my 440/495. I thought in my travels here and there that these require a special timing set where the cam sprocket has a Torrington bearing. Is that true?
I say this every year. I like the cold. You know when you walk outside and you feel it in your lungs! True I can't work on cars but the rest is good. We Norwegians have a saying.
Ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær.
There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.
So there is a fender tag in bad shape but readable. I don’t have any more than that but again it’s for a friend and not sure how much he’s willing to spend based on condition.
I watched some U-Tube tonight. Couple of guys taking a '64 Dodge 330 2-door sedan out for a drive. They said it had a 496 cu. in. Max Wedge, dyno'd at 608 h.p., automatic in it. The driver gave it a couple of jabs while he was driving it, and it sounded VERY healthy. The car was turquoise, with...
GM HEI is best bang for the buck when used with an E core coil. GM HEI has adaptive dwell, Mopar ign does not have it. Dwell becomes important when more cyls [ 8 ] have to be fired at higher rpms. That is why dual point dists were invented...but HEI fixed that overnight.
A lot of spark energy is...
I may have to call you on these. The first one…. Your cut looks great. Just not sure I’ve ever had any problem getting to the converter bolts as it sits now. Racking my brain to imagine how the cut shown would help. Do you have a pic of it installed that could help complete the picture?
The...
Compared to Remcharger, it is fairly tropical here tonight, at only -15 C. These are the kind of nights that we would get an all-nighter barn fire when I was on VFD.
I've seen cattle in the Houston area
do the same. Tough to cool off when
humidity is close to 100%, ambient air
temps near 90 degrees, and water
temps equal. Bovines live a tough
life.
I'm swapping in a Gen III into a 1964 and using the Term X Max. I'm told the painless 80153 ignition switch will work as it is a constant switch, not a momentary switch.
Does this seem like a solution?
In light of lacking info needed to accurately value it, l'll just assume it is a 440 column shift car and base it on photos. Maybe 45-55k as is. Actual engine, trans, numbers matching? options, color, rust, missing parts, etc. throw those numbers out the window and guess again.
The production...
I would worry about our Black Angus cattle in the summer in Oklahoma. Sometimes they would get in the ponds to cool off. Sometimes they would get stuck and drown. My very long hair keeps me warm in winter and shades me in the summer. It never gets too hot here though.
Tanks are made by Spectra, in Stratford, Ontario. I suspect that 15 gallon that is specified is Canadian Imperial Gallon. 15 Imp. gal. = 20 U.S. gal. I bought one from RockAuto, and it was identical to the old original one. I think they are still less than $200, brand new.
