I am going to be buying new hemi exhaust manifolds and I am not planning on running the heat tubes up to the intake, but I want it to have a factory look still. Wondering what the brain trust thinks? I may just remove the flap so the outside looks stock and am using a flat plate to cover the...
Just heat it up near the base and bend it to your preference. Boot will hide that. I did this conversion myself about 30 years ago on the 1-of-0 '67 R/T wagon I built. Since the Hurst shifter does not need the T-bar to access Reverse, the reverse detent cable can be removed from the handle. I...
We got one overnight shipped. Not an expert on these things and I’m helping my dad out. So turns out now the crankshaft was the 8 bolt but doesn’t fit the 727 looks like it was made for a 4speed. Is there a way to make the 727 fit? Removing something? Or is changing the crankshaft the only way?

That's good news. That's what a customer should expect. It's a tough biz these days, I worked for about a year in Hot Rod parts when I retired for a something to do gig. My boss was awesome but he took it on the chin alot to make his customers happy when the suppliers didn't exactly care. He had...
I’ve never run a supercharger, but I think you need stiffer valve springs to keep the valves closed under boost. I believe low overlap helps maintain boost as well (?)
Gonna be busy tomorrow as well. I have no idea how many dozen oil changes I've done since I was 15 years old. I have NEVER had a filter leak in my life, but I fired up the Barracuda and she pissed all over the K frame and floor. Gotta be a crack in the canister... tomorrows BS if I'm not in the...
Regrets? Not really. I kept my 3.91’s for when I can afford an overdrive transmission. Right now, I can’t afford one, so I went tall tire and 2.76’s. I was driving in the slow lane with the engine screaming at about 3500+ rpm before.
Time to get the teeny cam and valve springs out and put in something that belongs there. When I put this 440 together it was just supposed to be temporary since the engine in the car was hurt. Well, now it is going to stay.
