If you want the 'best' arrangement for retaing your new shafts [ not squashing them ], get some 3/8" grade 8 steel or s/s rod. Use studs not bolts. Leave enough stud sticking out past the shaft for two nuts. Loctite the studs into the head. Torque the nut to 25 ft/lb [ or even a bit less...] &...
I might but more than likely I will forget about it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing things or something because I was sure I plumbed it correctly. Oh well, moving on.
FWIW I always use satin black on the A pillars/top & bottom window channels... That way if any of the metal isn't hidden by the gasket or the trim it doesn't show, it blends with the gasket....

For a long gun, my 12 gauge Remington 870 Pump Shotgun with #4 buckshot for coyote or smaller, 00 buckshot for cougar and rifled slug for bear and larger at the cabin. BTW, I do not hunt. For protection only when I'm out for a hike on my place. The .357 Ruger is on my side also.

I am starting to get some parts out back on. The dash Insulation, parking brake pedal and I am about to do the other pedals.

Yes these hoods are virtually impossible to come across. I have had an ad out for a year and only saw a couple. Of course, too far away!
