These pinched holes where only on early build 1407/1411 Edelbrock 750 ? They have since fixed the issue ? Bet they made a lot of money on jets and metering rod kits back in the day , me included - Man I hated these carbs compared to other Edelbrock How about the Carter Competition Series carbs ?

I have an air cleaner that was used on 68 and 69 HP 340, 383 and 440's. I don't have the pie tin but it does have a new air filter. I would like $250 for it and I will ship it free to the lower 48 states.

What springs did you use? I used SS springs on my dart and they settled about 1/2 inch, and ESPO 1 inch over on my Barracuda and they also settled 1/2 inch. Took about a year.
