    Rebirth of my 1970 GTX!

I lied about garage cleanliness 'cause I still went outside to cut the bolts down! I'll cross my fingers on getting the stainless steel lines to seal. I'll give credit to The Carb Shop in Minneapolis. They restored all the main carb bodies and they look great!

Anyone delete the vinyl roof, but keep the chrome trim?

Do you know what the roof-to-quarter seam looks like? I ask because I have a 1969 Coronet in the shop that I'm installing full quarters on. I'm not sure if this applies to all vinyl top cars or just Lynch Road cars, but for vinyl top models, they used seam sealer on the quarter-to-roof joint and...

    Push Button Park Cable

I understand you remove the allan screw on the trans-side park mechanism to access the release spring for the cable. Do I need to completely drain the transmission first to remove the cable?

    The Roach

It's a real guessing game reusing the factory controls. The E body controls are much better.

How risky is removing and reinstalling a cam bearing if oil hole isn’t aligned?

The oil hole is drilled diagonally breaking into the cam bearing bore and then into the oil galley. An LS engine cam bearing slot is about an inch long, how can you miss that??

    Welding consumables pricing

It's a pretty sad little store. I prefer Ann Arbor Welding Supply big time, but it's like a 45 minute drive from my house.

    Four speed input shaft troubles

No input shaft trouble, drill that crank out. That's how it's done. Don't cut the input shaft.

How risky is removing and reinstalling a cam bearing if oil hole isn’t aligned?

Why not just enlarge the hole in the bearing so it lines up with the block hole?

Anyone delete the vinyl roof, but keep the chrome trim?

It is fun to look at the various General Lees that were used for the show. This one had the '68 dash pad.

Wildfire Trolley Jack (or any four post lift jack) experience?

I have one on my hoist and it works fine. It clears oil pans and any suspension components just fine.
