    Good choices. But I'd save the money on the Dana; the 1978 440 will never break the 9.25 rear end, I'd just put in 3.55 or 3.90 gears into it.

    Installed new lifters. Broken in with assembly paste, high zinc oil, and zinc additive. Car started and ran great. Still does except: When idling, I get a random detonation knock. It's only one and it's approx every 5-10sec while idling. I do have EFI so wondering if I contaminated the O2 sensor...

    I don’t know what battery you have, but I learned an agm likes higher voltage than that. Like 14.5-14.7.
