That blind squirrel is busy early this year!
'ocdart' (FABO) somehow managed to come out on top with the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 2025 season-opening 56th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals with a total of 160.5 points. He picked the class winners in both Top Fuel and Pro...
I think I found the problem. The front pump check valve has a flat washer hat type thing on top of the spring. The washer slipped, causing the upper half of VB not to seal to seperator plate. All valve do move freely. But the pump check valve must not have be workig...my mistake. Will see...
Nope parked in my garage.
Hey so I got under there this morning and found that this was detached from the parking lever right under the dash. Think I can just replace this part and put it right back where it belongs?
That Anniversary Gold colour is so much nicer than it shows in photographs. It is almost an early "Flip/Flop" colour in that it changes so much depending on lighting.
I guess I should have gone around and got some "bum" shots of the Canadian '64 Dodge 440's to show the different tail light treatment versus U.S. cars. The Spuce Green one belongs to my friend, Bob. He also has the black Canadian '63 Dodge 440 that I have posted pictures of.
Using 60 year old blocks make no sense. Just one little crack and all that money down the drain. Go to Mancini and order a new fully machined block and enjoy, providing your able to spend the dollars required to build a elephant. The Callies company is a top notch producer, with excellent...
Of course a lot of the 90's blocks are 4.500" bore so you might have to dig a little harder to find a 4.25" bore if that is what you want. But at least these are something you can find, unlike a good used Street Hemi block.
Likely had something to do with PTK addition. Unlike later valve bodies, P.B. valve body did not have port to do this. I looked at online conversion for this, and it looked kinda complicated. Easier to just push the appropriate button. I did put a newer V.B. with PTK in my '67 R/T, however, and...
I just realized your car is a 69 not a 68. So I think that means it came with the VIN number. That's bad. So we have to assume that you won't find your original block. Your car probably would have came with a casting date in early 68. The assembly date would probably be a month or so before the...
Wouldn’t all side brackets be the same, from any size rad? 69 shouldn’t be a one year only bracket I would think. Certain that somebody knows. My 1969 26 has the same brackets as my 67 26”.
Exactly, as are boots over the front ones. Was what Bill stated, "his car is supposed to have retractors" and he didn't know if it was both belts or just one..
Mine has them on the front as well, but wasn't optioned with boots..
To me, both are art. I look at a beautiful gun or car the same way I look at a beautiful woman or museum art. Of course, beauty is in he eye of the beholder.
