Thanks ckessel. Provided proforged lock nut was threading on incorrectly. Was able to remove junk nut and repair threads as best possible. Now have a non lock nut on and thinking I’ll go with a lock washer or a nyloc
Have a winters shifter installed on my 70RR. Car is just going back together and ran into a problem I don’t remember having. The shifter linkage hits the trans cooler line and won’t allow it to go into third.

W/o driver somewhere around 3250-3300. The trans was going during that last outing and wouldn't upshift quickly. So I was on the limiter at 7k in 1st 2nd 3rd.. the tires were a bit short. Put a 72 chip in and gained a mph (127) but still on the chip.
