Calling All survivor 1967 Plymouth GTX's

mine has the 2 speaker cutouts as well. That is why I was asking. Odd that they would do that for 1 speaker. mine does have the rear speaker, but for some reason the speaker was out of the car. I found an NOS rear speaker kit that I am installing.

1966 Charger Hemi No Sale Again at Mecum

I agree with you, I think the car is owned by Mecum, which is why it has been re-circulated at 3 auctions. And it looks like they haven't updated the photos or even attempted to clean it up over the last year. With regards to cost of restoration as it took me 4 years ( 660 hours - weekends...

Fuel tube and Grommet issue...Need HELP!

Classic probably sells OER brand. I had the same issue years ago with that brand. Now I use the '70 & up grommets from DMT on every car that they'll physically fit in. I just installed my latest one in a 1970 Roadrunner with a new aftermarket tank and fill tube. It installed without effort...

Looks like my cam and lifters are wearing out

[1] Wear pattern is going to dependf on mileage the cam has done & spring tensiom. [2] Any FT lifters made after 1995 are suspect. [3] That is why you see me saying, ad nauseum: get your factory lifters re-faced.

Leak at trans bolt on rear of 727?

I ended up making one by chucking up a bolt with the head cut off in my drill press and turning it down to the correct size and adding the tapered area using a file while the bolt spins. After that I put a nut and a washer on it and it works just like the original.

    The AI Picture Thread

Rather than keep people guessing and mix these in with real cars, here's where we can put obvious AI creations. This is a cross between a 1968 Eldorado and a modern V-LMDh racecar, dreamed up by Andreas Wennevold.

Experience with OER dimmer switch (rheostat)

Thank you for the replies! My oem unit doesn't look too bad, but it is oxidized and doesn't give the expected readings when measuring it, which I believe is why my dash lights aren't working. You've encouraged me to maybe just try to fix the old one. Did you drill out the rivets and replace...

    anyone else attending Carlisle solo?

Last year was my first trip to Carlisle. I have to say the FBBO tent experience was the highlight of the show. Plan to spend more time there this year. Looking forward to seeing those members I met last year, and meeting more this year.
