It wasn't worth getting a pic of, but used the 'Net to go get a new battery for the 'reliable practical' car. Part of that is looking at the trunk and deciding where I can put the battery and not have it fall thru!
I’ll probably forget some:
Late 80s to mid 90s time period when in my early 20s:
60s Baja bug for around $275. Needed new jugs and heads, first really involved repair for me
67 VW Squareback around $250. Sat in a yard for years, spent a few hours working on that rusty mess and then nursed it...
Looks like the kind of show I would watch. Cool old cars sliding around on tv made me the car nut I am today, how anyone zeros in on the race thing is beyond me and that’s probably good.
Well this was handy, thank you. Since I've had an intermittent issue I went to look at that connection. I guess decades ago someone jumped it to the relay mounting bolt to ground it out (NSS is not plugged in if its even there, future project). I disconnected it and as expected no start at all...
In a practical sense I gotta say most likely if I ever get pulled over and have my day ruined it will be by my local cop, not a federal agent, so I do kind of want to know what he/she thinks.
I haven't read the federal law, maybe you have. If you say that it addresses the scenario where two halves to make a whole and which half gets precedence then I'll take your word for it, not my hill to die on.
I like the idea because I'm not interested in passing a car off as something its not, I still correct people when they call my Coronet a Charger. All I really care about is if its cool looking to me and if I can drive the snot out of it, but that means on road. I wouldn't do it to a solid car...
I’ve had the same problem, but it’s not consistent. I temporarily added a push button which always works that jumps the terminals on the relay, because I’m paranoid it will stall at the worst time and the key won’t work.
I have a 2000 Vic and I love that thing, I kicked around the idea of building one of those combos, won’t deny it. Just what’s changed preventing it from being smogged as a Vic?
Finally got the new rear shocks in, it was a bitch getting the old ones out. Finally I drilled access holes in the trunk, it’s not as bad as it sounds though, 2 inches below where I drilled there is no trunk, it rotted away. What I drilled was very rusty too so I don’t feel bad. I’m just lucky...
People have suggested to me that I go work with a vet in some capacity because of all the animal stuff I do , I said no way in hell. It’s hard on me with my own animals, and I feel really bad when I see distressed people with their pets at the vet when I’m there, no way I could be immersed in it...
I’m already not a seafood guy, partially I can’t keep it down and some of it does just grosses me out so I read hot salmon sandwich and thought wtf.
But I gotta know, what goes into it?
