When I open the secondaries to 90 degrees,
even with changing the jets and Air Door openings
numerous times I lost significant observable HP.
However, of course I do not expect anyone to believe me.
When I went looking for my first new car a 67 SS Chevelle was on the top of my list. $200 in price side tracked that and I bought my 67 Satellite and its been Mopar ever since.
To recap, yeah...the gasket is one piece but uniquely shaped. The Manual states to put sealant in the grooves then see 4-5-6:
The gasket goes in the window frame, the glass then goes into the gasket. The locking strip is mostly covered by the trim, though a little bit of the seam can be seen...
I measured the glass from Rich's car, it was .26". A spare new PPG windshield of mine....
....Measures .24".
A few years back when I broke my rear window, the new AMD replacement was also thinner.
For the rear window, it makes almost no difference since the glass sits on the butyl tape...
A foam speaker enclosure has a tuning component, whether its beneficial to the case at hand is subjective and likely happenstance. There is likely no magic to the foam, other that its likely cheap and lightweight.
NOTHING could be further from the truth. I am not questioning your end results nor compliments received. Under powering any speaker is a recipe for distortion and often leads to speaker overload as fed signal goes square wave as the amp clips as volume is increased.
Now if you are the main...
That is misconstruing what is taking place. At some point any space when it becomes large enough relative to the speaker behind the speaker is effectively called an "infinite baffle". It is intended to provide no tuning, period. Nearly any size trunk meets that threshold with 6x9 speakers.
As I...
You said Muscle Car. To me a Muscle Car is an intermediate body style, big engine, fairly light. So that takes out the plump wing cars and the overweight Chargers, no pony cars either. This one is in the dictionary when you look up "muscle car". The 68's were there too, by 70 they were moving...
I think it's a matter of luck. You can do any number until you hear that "bink" as I used to call it. Don't know how it is nowadays, but I'll say this, glass wasn't always "perfectly contoured".
I have a friend who owned an engine machine shop for a few years.
He had a sim test machine which would spin the engine and circulate heated oil.
A perfect way to break in a cam.
The gasket is a one piece design. I saved portions of the gasket to compare to the new gasket. What you’ve seen is just the lower section that sits in the cowl area.
We made sure the glass was clean. Rich bought suction cups, though I have installed windshields without them in the past. We had...
yes, I was being brief here, I know how it makes power, I'm in high school chemistry right now and went over combustion reactions just like you did in high school. I know you need both, and I'm not sure how to really word it without just writing down the whole book word-for-word, but he...
Here is a start ..... that's a cool clock
