ah, the kit I had for my charger I shimmed it from side to side when you stated the rotor wasn't centered it led me to that. I do have a larger set of rotors on my 34 which required a different bracket I would call wilwood they are easy to deal with. the number 20 washer on your directions looks...

With this kit, it appear the shims will adjust the height of the caliper in relation to the rotor, but not the caliper side-to-side. And it's seriously like 1/8" off at most - a matter of too much material (adding shims to the bracket would only make the spacing worse).
The Silver Sport pads were still soft and pliable but not as much as these new ones. That could be due to 4 years of use. They look the same to me.
I toyed with fastening the pads with screws but I didn’t like the way it looked.

Through the years I have seem many people have a hard time keeping the pads on. This is on new cars and trucks from the factory. I also have seen many that never had an issue. The problem ones I cleaned up and used 3M weatherstrip adhesive to set them in place. Contact cement works just as good.
