I mock the entire car and get more than half of the structural welding done before rotisserie; most times the suspension is already removed and car is on dollies.......... never an issue
Yeah, I went to Harbor Freight and got one of their furniture dollies and cut up a bunch of 2 X 4's
and 2 X 6's and used a floor jack under the trans mount.

Today was pull the rear end out and install the frame dollies. I little tight in the carport but it works. Next is the k frame . Learned make sure the car /jacks are high enough for the dollies. :BangHead: I was 8 inches short. Thor hung out .
I took the transmission off and set the engine in its cradle with two home made wheel dollies under it so I can roll it around and after I remove the rest of the accessories. roll it under the bench. You can see the red dirt on top of the transmission tailshaft.
...It's a non-lockup converter. I believe the car was factory rated at 195 horsepower.
Only recent pictures I have are below. It is a heavy car, but the rear axle ratio of 3.21:1 helps it "motivate". Handles great with the HD suspension.
