Disregarding exact front end geometry like camber and caster, what are the limitations on front end lowest ride height?
For example, bumper clearance and steering geometry issues?
I guess what I’m asking is how low can I make the front end before I have clearance or steering issues? And how do...
Ok I am now at the point of assembling my steering Center link. And attaching the tie rods/pitman/idler aems.
Looking at the FSM I didn’t find the part about centering up the steering gear/Pitman Arm initially.
I assume I need to center the Pitman to the box to give me equal Left Right range...
I am assuming there is no polarity on the connection to the transmission on my 1970 Sat’s neutral safety switch/reverse light harness. Correct?
Looks like brown center is the neutral safety open in gear and short in park and neutral?
So the other two (blk and blk-t) must be power and reverse...
So after a complete front end rebuild the center link is rubbing very slightly on the headers (problem 1).
When I rebuilt my LCA I welded in the stiffing plates and one side was off just a small amount that the torsion bar adjusting bolt wont go all the way through the given hole in the plate...
So what’s the deal with the rear spoiler on the 70 Roadrunner? Was that a Chrysler dealer option or just an aftermarket thing? Is there any history on this? I wouldn’t think it provided much functionality. So purely aesthetic.?.
I have some questions regarding Bendix’s boosters. My card originally came with front disc, brakes rear drum and manual master cylinder. I bought an aftermarket master cylinder and brake booster. I think it’s a 7 inch. I’ve been told that 8 inch boosters worked better. Mine I have to push pretty...
Hey guys I am in need of an upper kickdown bell crank that I want to modify. One like the one below. If you have something close it may still work as I have to modify.
Thanks MF
Not my pics loaded from FB user Sam D. All credits to him.
Doesn’t look like anyone was injured thank god. Man that looks like my car in green. Anyone know if this is a member? Nice car….
So I’m working on getting the kickdown linkage ratio to match my throttle linkage travel on a custom set up. Fun stuff!
So I’m looking for a specific nylon piece that I can tap a 5/16-18 and have the outer diameter match the inner diameter of my carburetor throttle bracket to use as a bushing...
Given how crappy and unstable the stock bumper jacks are not to mention the damage they can inflict on the chrome I plan to carry a better jack in my trunk.
Curious as to what you guys are using for emergency roadside tire change.
Thanks
MF
So I’m asking this question because I’m wondering what are some of the details of let’s say the Chrysler LA small block that makes it different than a GM small block from the builders perspective.
Can a Chrysler guy build a good GM engine and can a GM guy build a good Chrysler engine? This when...
I suppose this has been asked before, but I couldn’t find it. I’m wondering which particular model and year of all the Mopar’s is the most iconic. The big variable in this question is what does it mean to be iconic I suppose. Anyways, interested in knowing your thoughts, let’s keep it to B-Bodies?
I seem to have lost my original nozzles and when fitting my replacements, I don’t recall them being this far away from the grill above. It would complicate aiming, but maybe this is normal. It needs to get through the grill and actually hit the right spot on the windshield.
My questions are...
I am getting only high speed and no park on my wiper motor. I don’t see an external resistor and understand this controls the wiper speed and park. I am enclosing a picture of my wiper motor as it looks different from other wiper motors that had resistors externally mounted. This I believe is...
It’s been so long since I’ve taken advisors off and I’ve since put my headliner on I can’t recall if the end of the visors had a stop clip or not. This is opposite to the hinge side attached to the roof. My visors do have a male ending, which looks like it would clip into a stop. I just have no...
I would like to know some specifics regarding the automatic drivetrain combinations used in say Roadrunners with 340’s.
What rear end and torque converters (stall specs) were used along with engine compression ratios and camshafts specs if possible.
Thanks MF
The car was set up for a passenger mirror so I purchased what I thought was the correct style mirror. It wont aim correctly in that the mirror does not seem to have enough travel. Any thoughts on how to improve this travel internally?
Thanks MF
I’ll try and post a picture later today.
I just finished my interior color change on my 1970 Sport Satellite and have a set of custom vinyl seat covers for anyone in need of something better than they currently have. They are older but in nice shape and were not used much so they look like the pictures show. No worn spots or rips or...
