My friend is offering my his OEM 906 heads that have been completely refurbished. New valves, springs, ported and polished, everything. Says he has $1500 sunk into all of that work. Does that sound right? That's not what he's asking from me I am just wondering if that's ballpark for that amount...
Any members really knowledgeable on the 1969 Z28? That was my dad's car and he doesn't have a lot of time left. I've been wanting to find one for years and years for him to enjoy before he goes but there are two hurdles. The first is the absurd pricing and the second is the difficulty in...
What do you guys pay for your MOPAR? I just got a bill I was not expecting that doubled the rate quoted when I got the policy. I can’t find ANY documentation online outlining the original agreement or pricing. It’s like $280/yr now for WI. But she originally quoted me $150. So I’m a bit upset...
Photos should speak for themselves. Hood paint rubbing off against the black plastic. Pins not centered. But this is the best I can get it. Aftermarket hardware on driver side grille has it extended out as far as it can. What’s my problem? How can I realign this properly? Been scratching me head...
I think what I need to make my fuel line work is a 5/8 -20 banjo bolt with 1 1/4" of thread. I'm trying to get this Edelbrock 8131 kit (photo) to work with my M1 Dual Plane intake but it butts into the intake. Totally impassible. But by shifting the line 1 or even 1/14" to the left it will...
Trying to piece together fuel lines for my 383 with an Edelbrock AVS2 and am running a vapor separator with a return line (don't ask). I have these pieces so far:
Edelbrock 8131 ( -6 AN male inlet will accept an Edelbrock fuel line kit for a complete fuel pump to carburetor plumbing solution. )...
Looking for an original 2863216 fan and 2806070 clutch.
Fan must be metal stamped, not ink stamped. Clutch in good working condition.
Pricing in line with the last few that have sold on here, which are still viewable. Not paying two pounds of flesh like the Facebook and eBay guys want.
Will...
I know these didn’t even come out perfect on day one but wonder what you guys think. Also this paint on the rear trim panel looks brushed and the wrong color. Like purple instead of red. I don’t have anything to compare to around here in person. Thoughts?
70 Super Bee. Vent lines at the tank will not stop seeping at the tank junction. I replaced both rubber hoses and all 4 clamps. They are tight. They are fit correctly. I have no idea why they will not stop seeping fuel. The longer line is properly run through the trunk. But I do occasionally...
My 1970 383 (3:91 gearing 4 speed) doesn't have a lot of service history other than oil changes, filters and timing changes. What I do know is around 20K miles ago and the notes say "Complete engine rebuild. Hardened valve seats. Rings. Bearings etc." no mention of cam upgrade. Came with a M1...
Encountered a smashed up old black spacer under the Holley Double Pumper. Measures 3/8 which seems to be a rarer choice. Any reason the old owners chose 3/8 rather than a 1/2? I want to get one ordered today.
Removed and disassembled my oil pump. When installing new O rings I see the packet says:
".078 thick, large O-ring is ONLY for stock factory and Melling M63HV pumps.
Thinner .065 is ONLY for Milodon 21814 21815 pumps"
Well I disassembled the pump entirely which I am regretting. Pretty sure...
Issue #1: The little red plastic lever seems to be sticking, or not working the choke system correctly. It's supposed to close the carb flap so idle is lower and correct, but fails to do so when the car is cold. I have to really mess with the pedal for a while to get it to start doing what it is...
My 70 car is supposed to have all the A31 High Performance Axle Package stuff but has this fan. It's wrong, obviously, but appears to have a clutch. Anyone have photos of the correct fan setup.
Second photo is pooling oil near under the filter and dripping off the K member. What's the most...
My car arrives from the carrier today and my driveway will not be cured for 9 more days. Desperately need a garage for that period and there's simply no way to access it. The yard is a post-build mess and hasn't been graded yet, is full of nails, not even flat enough to drive a car on, etc. If...
Just moved near Red Wing, MN and am interested in making connections around here. The only event I ever hear about is the annual Stillwater Fairgrounds show.
Wasn't the booster, wasn't the pads, isn't a vacuum (I don't think). So what is this problem? Ecoboost FX4. Truck will lose breaking at like 1mph, for example when in line behind someone at gas pumps, pedal will become very stiff, there is a groaning sound from what we think is the lower middle...
