I caught and released a 5lb bass a month or so ago which was my all time record. I have been catching bass mostly and grilling them. Love them with lemon and or butter.
Everything has been going good with me and the charger. I went to a few shows this year and also went to my local cruz-in every tues night. The last one for this year was the last week before daylight savings switched and we had almost 100 cars.. I have been living with 3.91 gears in the diff...
I've been going to some cruz-ins in my car and will keep doing that for probably the rest of my life, I hope, but I've added a new hobby back to my routine. Every day that weather permits I sit in that chair on my little dock, that you can see on the left of the pic below, and catch fish. I'm...
I guess I can legally say that the charger project is still going on. I had not put the emblems on the tail panel and procrastinated about them till I recently saw some on-line for a reasonable price., and adhesive installation was required because I refused to drill holes in such a perfect...
I've got a big restoration project going already with this new property. That's keeping me very busy, and broke. I wish I had time and money for another car resto or truck . This house was vacant for 20 years and nobody did anything for it during that time. It is ate up with hidden termite...
My good fortune continues., I found a really good deal on this like new 2020 ram. My old truck was wore out. This is the nicest vehicle I've ever had. It is a Laramie edition so it has most all of the neat options. Best of all it has the 5.7 hemi, 8 speed, and is very fast. It has 71k miles on...
I'm continuing my tradition of posting something every new years eve., since my 1st post on this thread 12 years ago... A lot has happened to me in this past year of 2023., my father peacefully past away at 91 in his sleep after a long healthy life, and I moved "out in the country". After 33...
That's him. His is pad is a little better furnished than mine., ha.. I went to a few shows and some cruise-ins this year. There is a weekly cruise-in at a restaurant 3miles from my house and they raffle gift certificates for free to the drivers, that's been fun. Here's a pic I like from a show...
In the 70s there was a tv show called Vegas where the star, Dan Tanna drove his old t-bird into his home. I always thought that was cool and said some day I'd have a set up like that. Finally got it..
I put up some led lights in my new shop. Love leds. They are wired to a regular wall switch but I put the pull strings on so I can turn any off, as needed... Funny, the guy that owned this place for the past 38 years never had more than the one 60w light that you can see in that last shop pic.
Here's a tip. When working around the rear window, cut a piece of plywood and lay it on a blanket on the Dutchman panel. After painting my car I dented mine with my elbows and or knees while putting the rear window trim on.
I also put a few drops on one of my front running lights where the stamped steel bulb receptacle is pressed into the pot-metal light housing/frame. Corrosion from the dissimilar metals was keeping the bulb from grounding. Been good 4 years since. My car never gets wet tho. No driving in rain or...
Yep, I did put some in my radiator, after making the mistake of using 100% water in it for it's first 2 years. It started leaking from rusting out the chrome water pump nozzle holding the thermostat. I fixed it by filing it down to a good sealing surface again. Then filled it with just coolant...
I should have said when I started this thread that I'm running an auto trans. Sorry to everyone who wasted time talking about locks with manual trans. I think it's obvious to us all that lock out on rears with manual wouldn't be a good way to go, even if you were Fred Astaire, ha... I have...
