There's the problem. Now go to the fuse panel and check both sides of the "Tail" fuse. You may just need to use a small wire brush to cleanup the terminals? If no power there then....... happy hunting. If you see any splices in the dash harness remove them.

If the wiring is like MOST MoPars the pink wire will be hot all the time. The yellow wire will be ground ONLY when a door is open, or the headlight switch is rotates ccw all the way. With the wiring in the trunk unplugged see if any of the wires show to ground. I've seen many a harness spliced...

What you are hearing is the circuit breaker that is inside the switch doing its job. You have something going on with the wiring or motor.
