For all those that hunt…6.5 CM

Federal fusion 140 grain. 6.5 does do better at distance. Like stated in another reply I wanted to use the Bergara B14. It’s only been on paper so I wanted to try it. The deer came out a lot closer than I wanted it to but he tempted me so I hit it really good.. but the distance was about 85...

For all those that hunt…6.5 CM

Wrong caliber for sure.. Federal Fusion 140 gr and a good solid shoulder shot! When you’re using a caliber like the 6.5 cm, it’s smaller, speedy but things can go wrong must have hit something and didn’t get pass thru. I wanted to try the bergara b14 this year as I’ve only put it on paper. So I...

For all those that hunt…6.5 CM

For all you that hunt and maybe contemplating the 6.5 creedmoor. Sitting yesterday I’ve a 100 yard long food plot and a weird 5 point rack steps out about 80 yards. Broadside! My 6.5 cm in on the Bergara B-14 platform with a Vortex strike eagle on top. Easy 80 yard shot. Got it in the crosshairs...

    Firearm and Ammo of choice

I don’t like 9mm at all! I’ve investigated way too many failures to stop the threat. I know many will speak up and say it’s just fine. That’s ok, it’s going to smart and leave a mark for sure! I like the good old .45. Maybe the only disadvantage is recoil, but doesn’t bother me a bit...

Skunks. Who has dealt with these stinky creatures?

That sucks! I have them here rooting around for grubs all the time. When I let the dog out, I have to go out and shin3 the field up and make sure Pepe isn’t lurking about. So far so good! Couple close calls where we both missed seeing it until it was too late! Fortunately, the old girls...

Anyone else having a problem with mosquitoes?

Been bad in Maine this year too. But not unusual for the rain we’ve had and the humidity. I wouldn’t say it’s been the worst year or even close! Usually they drop off in August but didn’t. We’re used to it! State bird!
