Oh, that's nice! Not a big fan of the bench seat but I could get use to it. Location? Any chance you can show us (or pm me if you don't want to throw it up here) the fender tag?? Thanks!!
That's ugly ... reminded me of another incident where someone forgot to refill the differential gearbox with oil ... but it was a slightly different kind of ride ... differential gearbox heated up and seized snapping the input pinion ... and the results were a bit uglier than yours ... in this...
Looks very nice. Interior? Some of the pictures look like it has a full interior in it and in others it looks like it has nothing but a dash with steering wheel. Does it have a full interior that goes with it? Thanks.
I'm in the St Lou area myself. If you don't mind sharing ... what were you looking at and where was it? Fastlane Cars perhaps? Curious ... that's all. Thanks!
I'm confused too??
Maybe "Horace" will throw us a few more clues so we can piece it together??
One thing that I am not confused about is that I love vintage pics like that one!!
You're making this stuff up to mess with us right?
Wasting his time?
I think we know who the "clown" is here ... and it's not you.
How are you coming along with the ebay sale?
btw ... I like the car. If I was within a 5-6 hr drive of you I might have bit on it for what you were asking.
With humble apologies, I must inform you that I can't seem to locate the templates. The reason I responded to your post is because I had just seen them! Now, however, I can't "rediscover" them. I'm starting to think that maybe I tossed them thinking that I would never use them again? I don't...
As the old saying goes ... "there's no replacement for displacement". So, with that said, go with the 440, unless there is some unique application like if your car was a pre-'67 A-body or something where the dimensionally smaller 383 would fit better.
I think I still have a set. They have already been cut out and worked great. I think my head porting days are over so I can let you have them if you like.
Nice looking car for the $$$. Car is actually in Des Moines IA ... not here in St Louis (otherwise I would go take a look at it).
I think that has to be the "greenest" GY3 Curious Yellow that I have ever seen ... almost looks more like FJ5 Limelight!
Still a nice looking car though ...
I like Ma Mopar's explanation of the meaning of "GTX" :glasses2:
Also got a kick out of the "sign-of-the-times" with their emphasis on "big 7.75 x 14" high performance Red Streak tires, extra-wide 5.5" wide rims and heavy-duty drum-type brakes..." "Big"? "Wide"? They almost seem miniscule...
Ed,
I have a sweet spot for the '64 Plymouths (Savoys, Belvederes and Furys). Kind of like the post-sedans a little better than the hardtops (just a little bit), but your car is growing on me. Do you have more pics in an online album like Photobucket, Flickr or in a "dropbox"? I would like to...
Lebanon by St Louis? Lebanon IL? Hey, that's less than 15 miles from my house! I'll have to head over there and scout it out to see what it's like!
Never mind. It's Lebanon MO which is half-way to Tulsa OK on the other side of St Louis which would make it 150 miles or more from my house.
Excellent post!
I heard a saying once that I really liked ... "it's not what you can gather ... it's what you are able to scatter".
My old man had cars, property and money, but he didn't leave anything to anybody. He didn't believe in sharing or passing anything along. His motto was "hooray...
