I actually collected these cars because I liked them rather than think they would worth anything .Its been Interesting collecting Max Wedge parts for the cars thru the years ,Most of the Max Wedge cars of the Era didn’t have a easy life .would have been nice to have one new and take car of it .
Glenn ,I am 55 Born November 62 when the 63 s were new in the showrooms ,I never ran across a lot of real Max Wedge cars and when I did and could afford them I bought them ,so I came across and bought 5 ,63 Plymouths and 1 64 Plymouth Max Wedges ,The first one was my Convertible in July 83...
Glenn,If the the pin sheared off it shouldn't be hard getting the pin out ,but I would wonder what made that happen ? Was the top still locked when the top was trying to lower ? Or maybe just the latch was catching .
I didn't find any other links only the posting about the fire from the owner, it looks like it was at the owners house just back from paint ,very sad to lose a piece of history and a Great car .

Great ad ,I would have loved to see that place in the day ,Unfortunately all mine are not in race ready condition in fact far from it .I always loved the Max Wedge cars and picked them up when I could afford/find them .
Glenn ,I have always like the Canadian Plodges myself ,Never thought I would find a Convertible let alone 2 . They made 82 Total 58 Mayfair Convertibles .
Glenn ,I currently have 6 Real Max Wedge cars including a Aluminum front end 64 Belvedere Hardtop ,3 63 Savoys a 63 Belvedere sedan T-85 stick ,And my Sport Fury Convertible .Also a white 63 Savoy clone ,and a few more Radom 63 Plymouths .Lots of projects I won't be bored anytime soon .
