The first picture is of the drivers side with the old parts and the picture of the new parts is the passenger side.
I did put the shorter shoe on the rear, my bad, must have been getting tired. I'll change that tomorrow.
I think the axle is from a 1965 belvedere. It says 65 *** Belvedere on it in yellow marker so probably is still an 8 3/4. We may "upgrade" back to the 11" brakes but for right now we're going to have to rock the smaller brakes.
Started working on the brakes today but got really confused really fast.
Here is how they were:
Notice how the auto adjuster isn't doing anything.
And during install of the new hardware the new parts didn't match the existing so I was searching parts and diagrams and installs on here and...
Today was a good day, got a big box of parts in the mail today!
Also when I moved I had to leave my bike in california in storage. Well look what also showed up today!
Time and money have been at a premium for a while but I'm finally getting back on top of things and now I have time for the rr again. Yesterday and today I spent tearing apart the brakes and steering to find out what all is needed. I've got brake hardware and auto adjusters coming in the mail...
Boise Idaho. The land of potatoes and me now.
Right now I'm working for a granite shop, before this I was doing casino software. Neither of which are particularly juicy lol.
2 1/2 years... I'm sorry all. But life has a way of kicking you when you're at your highest. In the time since my last updates I found the love of my life and promptly lost the job of my life. We had to move 3 times and the car went into storage and has been sitting ever since. We are now...
Been working on the car a bit. Haven't been doing something a day but most days I'm out there doing a bit. Got my trunk weather stripping in the other day. Also got my alternator and brackets installed yesterday. I was working on installing the power steering tonight and something seems...
Just got done vacuuming a full mini wet dry vac worth of leaves and dirt out of it. I thought I did that once before?
Today's tasks were just quality of life things for working on it. Mostly cleaning. I've enacted a "Do one thing a day" rule to it. No matter how big or small I'll get one...
The last six months have been crazy. Work got crazy, life got crazy, I moved to a new place, I have problems with my sciatic nerve and back now. But enough about that. The car is finally in my own garage!
The weather is finally breaking and work can begin again on it. Hoping to have it...
I'll take them for $150 shipped.
How do I send a pm? The site has changed a lot since I last bought something...
Edit: I may have figured out pm's. They're labeled conversations now?
I've had the car and the storage unit sprayed for widows. There's more than a few curled up ones littering the ground around the car. However I still stick a wrench up into the webs to pull them out, not sense in taking chances.
I'll get them moved to a better location, thanks for the...
Been working on it a few hours each weekend. Nothing ground breaking like turning the key but just chipping away. I pulled the gauge cluster out and cleaned it up. The alternator gauge didn't want to come apart and it looks like someone had been into it before. I got it apart and...
