    JOHN STUART DISC BRAKE CONVERSIONS

Looking for input from my fellow Ontarians. Thinking of converting to front disc on my '66 Coronet. Has anybody dealt with John Stuart Power Brakes in Stoney Creek Ontario? How was the service, quality, etc? I'd like to deal locally if I can due to the high cost of shipping from the U.S.

'66 coronet drum to disc conversion

Hi all, considering switching to front discs on my '66 Coronet. Anyone have experience using stock spindles and what kit would work the best? Right now, I have 15" Magnums for wheels so don't think I'll have an interference problem. I'll have to switch to dual master cylinder as well.

    pertronix igniter trouble

The Igniter worked great until it didn't. When I tried the second new module and it really didn't work, I gave up. I grew up with points and am more comfortable using them now. I tried the ground test on the module but my digital meter wouldn't read low enough to measure the maximum .2 ohms...

    pertronix igniter trouble

A few years back, I replaced the point system in my '66 Coronet 318 Poly with a Pertronix module and Igniter II coil. All worked well 'til last fall when the car ran great until "no spark". Fiddled with the wiring etc and suddenly she fired right up. This Spring, initial fire up and drive went...

Oh, almost forgot. Those are reversed Ford rims painted silver. Dodge rims were welded, the Fords were riveted. Local guy reversed them for $10 per wheel!

Pics from Back in the Day

My first Mopar - my dad's '55 Dodge Crusader. Nosed, decked, flat tail light lenses and driveway paint job all done by yours truly. Swapped out the old flathead six for a same year Poly after blowing 3 of the old flatheads. Those were the days - bought a donor car for $10 bucks, took all the...

    Who hates SNOW ?

Same here. Don't mind the snow but hate the salt, brine & gravel they spread around here. You can watch your car rust away! Apparently the brine is the worst - a buddy's truck had all the accessory bling you can imagine, chrome & stainless. After one winter, it was all pitted.
