66 Coronet 500 Driver, Light Resto

I got it...and agree. As God created it, or as close to that as you can re-create it. Just offering a cheap way to get it rolling again. I have a lot of the part on hand. The 361's only came out as a "2bbl" in the Coronet....and was a disappointment for power, and had to change that (it...

66 Coronet 500 Driver, Light Resto

A thought: I have a 318 paired to a 727......sitting here, doing nothing.....still sitting on the "K" member. I pulled it out of a 66 Coronet 440 ( 4 door grocery-getter, with bad rear body rot), the drive train was good. It's been on a trailer, under a tarp.....waiting to live again. It was...

    WTB 1967 coronet passenger fender

There is a difference between the two years, but it's really about construction....something screwed in on a 67, that is spot-welded on a 66 (could be the other was around). Both will work well......that's the important thing. I think that the question is more about the model, as side trim holes...

    62 D100 question

Sorry guys; Not a B body question My current project is a 62 D100. Trying to get info on what modern-day steering wheel can be used. The original wheel must be 18" or more and I got to get it off my stomach ( I lost a few pounds, but still not enough). I converted to power steering, so a...

    66 Coronet 361 Exhaust opinion

I have a stack of receipts on the engine rebuild here somewhere...certainly the pistons are in there I didn't write down the casting numbers, I spent time on the body, getting the correct color, the correct upholstery. The Edelbrock has a dual bolting pattern and bolts right on. What's your...

    66 Coronet 361 Exhaust opinion

Hi all; And thanks for the input. I can see that I didn't provide enough info. I bought this car in pieces, as the previous owner was ready to put a 440 in it, and suddenly passed away. I never heard the engine run before the tear down. It's a factory 4 speed car. The engine is completely...

    66 Coronet 361 Exhaust opinion

My 66 Coronet 500 has been completed for 4 years now. Originally born with a 2bbl and single exhaust, I changed out the cam with something for a 4bbl and added dual exhaust. The car runs well...that is to say that it starts up nice and has enough power to get up my hill...with the Edelbrock...

Headlights and half of gauge cluster lighting magically stopped working.

I'd try to resolve the headlight issue first. Aside from the headlight switch and "fusible link" ...there should be nothing to interfere with front headlights . Smells like that switch, from here... Pretty much all the replacement parts that you get for our "classic American cars" are all...

WTB Power steering on a 225 help

Thank you all I've contacted CPP to buy whatever it takes to make this work. The tech that I spoke to, confirmed that Saginaw style pumps were never on a 6 cyl ( I guess this assumes that he really knew what he was talking about) What I'm sure of is: The bracket will be specific to the slant...

WTB Power steering on a 225 help

I got a new project: a 1962 Dodge D100 pickup. There were soo few made with power steering, that the original equipment can't be found. I bought a kit from "Easy Street" and with a lot of fuss, i got the knuckle into a spot, that it might actually work. The pump that was supplied, cannot. I...

    WTB Bumpers needed

I have a set of 66's they'll need to be re-chromed, but they're good cores. I had the ones that I'm using chromed by Keystone. They did an amazing job and all the dings and crusty patches were totally repaired, like new. It just took a long time to get them back. Is your location in CT? That...

    66 Coronet 4 door seats

I have a set of 4 door seats from a parts car that's long gone. I kept the seats because they had been recently re-upholstered and better than "good". Tan in color I thought that I'd use them as seating in a "man cave", but ain't got no room for dat! If you have any interest, please make an...
