    My 440 Refresh

You ended up with a good one. I was hoping to do just a basic overhaul on the 74 unit I bought. Nope! Had to go all the way. At least it'll be good for 100+k miles when I get it done. Planning on the Source heads too.

Put it Back Like it Was

So glad I'm not the only one. If I go to "insert image" and drag a photo in, I can do two[ one at a time] before it kicks me out and I lose the page entirely. Getting old.

    Rebuilding LemonWedge.

Looks great and the DIY approach rocks. Did that too on my 65. When I was fitting up the spring boxes on my 65, I put a square across the old mount and to the outside wall of the inner rail to make sure all was kosher. It was. Then I decided to get out my 7' level to use as a long straight edge...

    5/16 fuel line restriction?

I've found that even with a PV check valve in place for cough protection, the PV's can still get damaged sometimes.

70RR - Steering gearbox pouring fluid.

Looking at your picture, it appears the Pittman shaft seal is toast. If you don't feel like tackling the seal replacement yourself, get another box. But from Steer and Gear, Firm Feel or Redhead. Heard Lares is another possibility. Don't waste your time and money on any other source for a reman...

    5/16 fuel line restriction?

Maybe some of the hose is separating/collapsing which will cause restrictions. Also, every brass/steel fitting involved from tank to carb is a restriction. Look on the inside of them. They are not the diameter of the hose.

A lot of recommendations for disc brake conversions

I would imagine you are referring to the fronts? Yes, they are cheap bearings. I removed the cups from my new rotors, couldn't on the 10.95's as there were no backside access grooves to knock the cups out, then bought new SET 2 and SET 17 Timken bearings from Amazon. Sometimes Rockauto has them...

LCA pivot turning while trying to torque lock nut

I cut access ports on the K to get at the backside of the tubes. Couldn't weld all around, but did pretty decent. Had to do some scrubbing to get the rust away before hitting the tubes with the gun. No reinforcements on the backside other than weld. Outside, yes. On my wagon and the Challenger...

Welcome from the central coast of Cal. Have one of those too, but it's back burnered for now. Looks like I'm still fighting gravity down here.

    1966 Coronet Project

Taking pictures are very helpful. Someone will see a possible item and inquire about it. Get closeups. Make the deal and send it packing. Way better than hauling stuff around to numerous swap meets, paying entry fees, selling barely enough to cover expenses. Done that numerous times.
