That is one VINTAGE sign there! TRW is a very familiar name to me and many others. The shop choices in my immediate area are dwindling. The last good one, the owner is retiring soon or selling out. The only other one has a deserved poor rep. I'll be looking at the valley or LA area when it's...
Since you're mechanically and not body repair inclined, have any friends/associates who are? Maybe labor/skill trades to be had? For sure look the structure over. You could end up with a black hole for funds as others have mentioned.
Get a wire feed/MIG unit and use gas for shielding, not flux core, for the welding. Look around in your area for equipment auctions. You may be able to pick up a used unit for a good price. Plenty of options if you go new. Miller, Lincoln, Everlast, ESAB, Hobart, HTP are great units...

My Lares items from Rockauto showed up today. I opened up the pump and fitting box to find a broken stud. Just got off the net for the return and replacement. Good thing it's not holding me up. The steering box looks fine. Judging by how the stud looks, someone got a little happy cinching it down.
I did a complicated measurement using my dial calipers. There is a tool you can buy as others have mentioned, off Amazon. Under "master cylinder tool". Looks like an H. Gets you there much faster. My belief is that over time, with supersessions/consolodations etc, that manufactures go for the...
I'm going to try to sore an older, non Cal compliant, washer on one of the next auctions I see. There was a nice Greymills unit but it was on a 55 gal drum. Too big for me. I'll try to find one on a 30. I do see that mineral spirits is more per gallon than diesel or kerosene. Does MS throw off...
