Yes it has been very difficult to say the least. But if it was easy like a chevelle anybody could do it. That's why I got a 67 because its not a cookie cutter car like a mustang or a Camaro.
This setup really has me curious. I would really like to see some photos of one installed in a late 60's b body. I watched some video on youtube of an install and they had to do some frame boxing. now with our unibody setup that part may be more difficult and how is this fitting around the k...
From what I can tell that is a universal kit not going to be a simple install. I went on the helix web site and they don't make anything specifically for our cars.
mopar is an dead horse with amd. many have been begging for years 66-67 is a hard one as well. they make some patch panels for example quarter panel patchs for the 66-67 but no outer wheelhouse. Now if you quarter is screwed up enough to need a patch panel chances are it needs an outer...
fyi,
I use nordlocks all the time and they are incredible. I think they are better than locktite. I have never seen a properly installed nordlock come loose.
Ok I purchased a pair of trunk drop offs that were said to be for a 67 b body. Now the reality is that they are not even close. My question is who makes drop offs that actually fit the 66-67 b body's? I am fairly certain the ones I have are shermans...

Looking for photos of 67 bel modified dashes. I cant seem to find a aftermarket cluster so I will have to make my own just curious as to what others have done.
Wow very nice and clean looking on both cars. I have some good ideas now. Now to find a cell I like.
Anyone need a brand new tank and sending unit and strap? lol
Nice setup, I am also doing what you have done and install the battery in the back.
I just put in a new trunk floor and I was hoping to not cut out the well but that does sound like a good idea to mount the way you described.
Anyone find a 12 gallon plus cell that fits nice in the well...
I have a street car part time track car. I have the springs relocated and really like all the space not having a tank under the car has. I have a new replacement tank/sender/straps but really leaning twards a fuel cell. I was really hoping to see some photos of some all done up.
