Hello Carl, nope she no longer works for Hella. Unfortunately we won’t be going to the SEMA shows. When we went to Alabama she got a job with Boeing and since Covid hit has worked from home. Still working from home. How are you doing? How is everything in California.
Thank y’all. And Radical Rob, yup I plan on attending the Mopar nationals if I am still in Lancaster. It went on my calendar not long after arriving in Ohio back in March and looking forward to it. I told my wife that if it fell on my normal weekend to come home, we would need to rearrange my...
Hello gents and ladies,
I haven’t posted since 2018 when I had sold my 64 Belvedere and moved to Alabama. I still lurk around here on b body’s only but haven’t posted. Well thing’s have changed, the company I work for has transferred me to Lancaster, Ohio. So, in order for my wife to be closer...
With much pain, I am putting my 64 project up for sale. This was going to be my play on the street car. There is a build thread here on B bodies only of the build. It is listed under Rusty Bucket Restoration. So where to start, the following sheet metal has been replaced with AMD panels, front...
Gents: The Belvedere still gets my attention when I have time. But, now it seems like everything else eating up my time. Life moves on and it pains me to do this, but I am going to put it up for sale.....I will be putting it in the for sale section. If anyone is interested send me a PM.
Carl, I bet your are pooped, moving is never any fun. Wishing you good luck.
A little update from today. The 64 is now back sitting on its rear suspension. Pictures:
My next task is to tackle the front K-member and getting the front suspension back under the car....
Carl, the boss is no longer working for Hella...so we won't be at this years SEMA show.
I have had some time to play in the shop....lol. The hood, fenders, dash, hood hinges and upper a-arms got epoxy primed. Pictures:
The front leaf spring eye bushings are installed. The front portion of...
My bushing have come in from Mancini Racing. What type grease are ya'll using on your solid bushings?
Graphite?
White lithium?
Standard Moly bearing grease?
I have done a search and didn't have anything come up.
I am in the process of installing the rear end in my 64 Belvedere. It will occasionally see time at the drag strip, but spend most of its time on the street. The current plan is to run a 4 speed transmission. What are ya'lls opinions on...
Gents, thank you. I work on the car when I have spare time....lol.
Carl, that's awesome and nice view of the bay....anytime I am headed to the western side of the United State, you will be notified.
This is the view from the front porch of the lake house. It's not an ocean bay view, but a...
Ok, it's been awhile.....lol. I have been a busy beaver (lake house) doing everything but working on the ol rusty bucket. Not so much rusty now.
Well, anyway, the current plan is not installing the exterinal antenna. So the antenna hole was plugged.
Due to the humidity level this year, I have...
A little update from today. The underside of the hood has been stripped of paint. I cut additional holes in the hood support braces to access the underside. Now it can be cleaned and rust proofed. Picture:
That's about it for now.....
C.moo, to the best of my knowledge the bottom rear glass panel isn’t reproduced. They way I repaired mine, I bought a Shriner/ stretcher and a box and pan break. The pieces had to be hand fabricated. These old mopars are notorious for rusting out around the back window. As far as cutting it out...
Thanks, gents:
I have been working nights this weekend, so haven't had much time to get into the shop. But, I did manage to squeeze in enough time this afternoon, enough to get the hood down to bare metal.
Picture:
after removing the paint and primer, it is amazing the amount of little factory...
