I ran a -6 AN line from the Carter fuel pump in insulation wrap away from the block and over by the inner fender well and a phenolic spacer to keep the fuel from boiling in a 69 Daytona to lessen that issue in southern california heat.

    1969 Dodge Charger amateur resto/refurbishment

Firewall bulkhead connector cleaning and inspection. Do yourself a favor. Take an hour to disconnect the bulkhead connector at the firewall and clean all of the connectors with some electrical parts cleaner and a wire brush. Then use some dielectric grease going back together. This one small...

Universal Harness or Car Specific Harness?

I have used the Painless Mopar colored kit in several cars. Although they all eventually came together okay I think it could have been named "painful" if they were being more truthful. I liked the painless one because the wires are color coded using the mopar colors for the most part with the...

    Modern Bullitt build

A few years back we had a 68 black charger and a green fast back mustang in the stable at the same time. We drove to a few car shows in SoCal and always did a lap of the show along the way. Amazingly I was surprised by how few people "got it". My cars were nowhere close to as clean as yours.

Project Dirtbird gets an exhaust system

What do you do when you need parts for your project car but you don't have any money? Find a guy who has what you need and trade something for it. In this case I decided I needed an exhaust more than my shotgun. Now as a general rule guns go into the collection and never come out but this was a...

    1968 Charger Wiring Meltdown

bummer - but common problem You most likely had resistance at the bulkhead connector or a failure of the ampere gauge in the dash. A lot of the fusible links in these cars that were factory installed in the engine compartment at the bulk head connector to prevent an incident in the dash like...

just match the vin tag to the fender tag Like this one (borrowed from the internet - I wish this were my hemi 500) Beyond this there will be another on the radiator core support and the trunk gasket lip. Obviously the motor would have the 6 digit vin # stamped on it along with the...
