I was able to run lots of 12.01's in a 4200lb '67 Coronet with this cam in a stroked 383 (448" w/3.90 stroke) with crazy old JC Penny 7" Cheater slicks. Mine was ground by Chet Herbert cams though and had a 108 center. It had awesome street manners and was consistent as hell in the 1/4. Probably...
I have mine mounted on my rollbar so I can get it quickly, or someone outside the car can retrieve it. Super easy release mechanism, and it looks good to boot.
The Laker Special was the fastest and straightest tracking of all of them. At one point I had all of them but kept going back to the Laker Special as my go to for winning races against my friends. The Black Widow was the worst. All it did was get the speed wobbles and then roll over on its side.
I did the switchover and didn't need anything else other than the driveshaft. Everything else switched over. If you want to run a pinion snubber Cass offers one, but it isn't adjustable. If you went with the S-trak you will really like the unit. Very predictable and quiet.
Edit: I did need to...
Tanks Inc is now offering replacement tanks with in-tank electric pumps with return lines. This is truly the best way to get around this issue if you don't mind spending the $$$ to switch over your entire fuel system. Turn the key, count to 5 and pump the gas and start it...
Tied to that, a photon which is a packet of light, exits the sun, travels through space, lands on earth 8 minutes later and is felt by your face, etc. and because it travels at the speed of light, even though it took 8 minutes to get here, is the exact same age as when it left the sun.
I can't speak to Corroseal but Rust Bullet can be painted on. I have used it multiple times in the past 15 years with 100% success and zero re-failing/re-rusting. As long as you get the bigger chunk stuff removed and paint out to reasonably clean metal, it will hold up almost indefinitely. You...
Just wondering how you are liking the Progression distributor now that you've had it for a while. I am thinking about pulling the plug but haven't been able to yet since I have a full MSD setup right now that works perfectly (except for the lack of vacuum advance for when I street drive). I...
I made my own from stainless steel tubing I bought at the hardware store. I used stainless steel t-nuts and stainless button head cap screws along with stainless washers for the hardware. I polished everything up so it looked nice and shiny.
I'm still using Liquid Glass from years ago. I score a few exrtra cans before the EPA forced them to change. I love the way it builds and handles high heat. Almost self repairs scratches.
Are these for the area just ahead of the door or up front by the core support? If back by the door, I am interested. I currently have none as mine were completely trash 20 years ago when the car was repainted. Please PM me with details, asking price, etc.
As crazy as it sounds, apply some good heat to it and feed a birthday candle right where the pipe meets the water pump. While it it still hot tap on the top with a hammer to try to "shock" the rusted threads. Do this a few times and then use a vice grip to loosen. As another post shared, put a...
If it is not made specifically for LED's you may find that if you have a combination of LED's and incandescent bulbs that it will flash at a different rate than you are used to with all incandescent. LED's don't draw as much power which is what the flasher is sensing and breaking the circuit to...
I agree that none of those will benefit from having the magnet but, it would give an early indication if you have particulates invading the oil from a cam going bad, pushrod issues, rocker shaft material, distributor drive gear, wrist pin, etc. There are lots of things that will send up a red...
What about these guys?

Anyone have any experience with them? Seems like it would be the better filter in the long run. I like the idea of being able to see what kind of crap is in my filter without slicing it open. Plus no potential failures from bursting...
