When Divine One had the problem with the bolt, they looked in one of the holes on the rail and it was full of sand and was damp the further down he worked his finger. They were concerned about the rust inside and the integrity of the rail because of the seized bolt. They told me they were going...
It almost is. Crossing my fingers that there’s no surprises when they do the media blasting. The right rear quarter panel is buckled forward by a hit and run just before I had to park the car. I have the replacement sitting at the shop. You can just see the impact point just above the bumper...
Yeah, that’s the reason I picked that setup. It looks really close to the way it originally did (except the color) I just don’t like the one piece belt setups. They look like a hunk of aluminum just hanging on there.
Just heard from HBR, the engine shop and the motor should be done next week sometime. I just need to get the accessories, oil pan for the QA1 upgrade and mounting brackets. Swapping from 340 to 440/505 needed mostly everything. Decided on a little eye candy.

Yes it will be! Bought the car my senior year of HS in 1976 for $1,500. The wife and I dated in that car and still have both! I can’t wait till she’s done!
Welcome aboard! Love to hear first car and high school car stories! Finally getting mine restored after she sat for 35+ years. I feel your pain on how expensive things are now!!
Yes, it is a factory color! The wife payed $25K 25 years ago. Funny thing is, every thing I have ever bought new auto wise has been that color! It’s been 3 now including my 2021 Jeep. I was thinking on painting the RR this color, Snazzberry Peal but decided to go original.
Well, the new Tremec 6 Speed trans, bell housing, clutch and all the goodies showed up today. Boy I sure wish I would have started the restoration a few years ago. Everything is crazy expensive now.
